My name is Gary McKeever. I offer supportive, therapeutic counselling and provide you with the space and time to explore what is going on for you in order to help you think about how you would like your life to be different.
I am a fully qualified therapist with many years of experience working with a diverse range of people in various settings.
I work from an integrative perspective. This means I blend different therapeutic approaches, depending on what issues you bring to counselling and what works best for you.
I offer short-term, long-term and single-session counselling.
If you are considering coming to counselling on an ongoing basis, I’d suggest you give yourself a couple of sessions so you can decide if I’m the right therapist for you.
A counselling session lasts for 50 minutes and they usually occur weekly, fortnightly or monthly. A session can be face-to-face, online or on the phone.
In the first session, we will agree on how we will work together and I will be able to provide you with some further information on how counselling might be able to help you.
The first session will also provide you with the space to talk about what has motivated you to come to counselling and this will help us build foundations for future sessions.
I am registered with – and accredited by – BACP, the leading professional body for counselling in the UK.
